New Resource

Bard in a Box (on sale for only $4.95!) from Levenger is my latest resource. Index-sized cards contain one-two line quotes from Shakespeare's plays on one side and explanations and examples on the reserve side taken from Samuel Johnson's Dictionary.

Example:

Why stand these royal fronts amazed thus?
Cry havock, kings!
King John

~~~~~~~~~~~~
havock interj. [from the noun.]
A word of encouragement to slaughter.
I envision some uses for these cards already:
  • memorization lines to precede reading the play
  • vocabulary bonuses
  • Name that Play game
Since Bard in a Box is on sale, the sale price plus shipping is less than the retail price alone. Worth it, in my opinion.
