Music that moves me

Bamfylde School Song

by Kenyon Emrys-Roberts

Look ahead to a life worth living,
Full of hope, full of faith, full of cheer,
To a life that is made for giving
Without stint, without shame, without fear.

Look ahead to the One who leads us,
To the Lord who guides our ways.
We shall follow, follow, follow,
We shall follow Him through our days.

May the stand for the just decision
For the straight and the true and the right
Take the hard choice in life's ambition
'Gainst all greed and injustice unite.

Standing true to the one who lead us
With the Lord who guides our ways
We shall follow, follow, follow,
We shall follow Him through our days.

This is the theme song of the miniseries To Serve Them All My Days.

Thanks to a gracious visitor who not only heard the right lyrics (which I inserted above) but also taught me a new word: mondegreen, a series of words that result from the mishearing or misinterpretation of a statement or a song lyric.

Although often beguiled by mondegreens, I believe the verses to be:

Look ahead to a life worth living,
Full of hope, full of faith, full of cheer,
To a life that is made for giving
Without stint, without shame, without fear.

Look ahead to the One who leads us,
To the Lord who guides our ways.
We shall follow, follow, follow,
We shall follow Him all our days.

Make a stand for the just decision
For the straight and the true and the right
Take the hard choice in life's ambition
’Gainst all greed and injustice unite

Standing true to the One who leads us
With the Lord who guides our ways
We shall follow, follow, follow,
We shall follow Him all our days.

Hi! I'm currently searching for the written music for this hymn as I am also a music teacher and wondered if you could help steer me in the right direction? Searches thus far have sadly not been fruitful.

With many thanks,

Robin

Hi Robin! Don't you just love those words and music?! I, too, have been unsuccessful at locating sheet music for this. The only thing I've ever found has been on Ebay / France. Poster claims it's sheet music, but since that seems to be the only one around, I'm dubious. I'd love to know if you ever find it.
